The Admissions Process

The admissions process described below is for applicants to the Grammar School (Jr.K - 6th) and Logic School (7th and 8th). We have created a thorough admissions process in an attempt not to be exclusive but to be inclusive of families who strongly desire a classical Christian education. Berean Christian Academy is a school committed to academic excellence and spiritual development. Instilling in students a love of learning and providing an orderly, nurturing atmosphere are our priorities. We are seeking to create a diverse student body that would be representative of different backgrounds and cultures. We desire to create a community where grace and respect override differences and a unity of the Holy Spirit prevails.

  1. Attend a tour of the school. Tours are given Tuesday through Thursday mornings and usually last about 1 hour. Appointments required.

  2. Read information about Berean Christian Academy from our website as well as information about classical education from outside sources:

  3. Submit an application for admissions including:

  4. Schedule an admissions placement test.

    • JrK-4th grade assessments are administered at BCA. Families will be scheduled for assessment testing once BCA receives the completed application. These assessments typically last about 30 minutes. The fee is $40 for testing.

    • Applying 5th grade and up must schedule an ISEE assessment. Submit the student’s score directly to BCA using our unique ERB number: 571498. For instructions on how to register visit the ERB website.

  5. Once BCA has received the completed application with all required documents and the student’s assessment score, applicants will be scheduled for a family interview with members of our admissions committee. The purpose of this interview is for discussing the compatibility of the student’s and family’s goals with the school’s methods and philosophy. This is an integral part of the admissions process.

  6. After careful consideration and prayer by our admissions committee, families receive notification of admission status, usually within two weeks of the family interview
