BCA Mission and Vision

BCA Mission Statement

Berean Christian Academy's mission is to educate students in a Christ-centered worldview, equipped to recognize Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in God's Creation. Berean operates as a partnership between faculty and parents preparing students to live their lives for the glory of Christ and benefit of others.

Vision Statement

We believe that the ultimate aim of a Christian education is to reproduce disciples – men and women who walk in wisdom, obey His word, and live out their faith. We strive to guide our students toward a meaningful relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, to emulate His compassion toward others, and to foster servant leadership qualities while providing a comprehensive academic program presented from a biblical perspective. The founders and board members of Berean Christian Academy believe that we can best fulfill this by emulating the Bereans of Acts 17 from which the school namesake was derived.

Our Philosophy

The ultimate purpose of Berean Christian Academy is to glorify God. Quality education- academically, spiritually, socially, physically, culturally, and emotionally-is provided from a Biblical point of view to help parents raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. As a school, our goal is to assist our students in developing a Biblical worldview.

Because we are concerned with the development of the whole person, we stress the following:

   1.  SPIRITUAL GROWTH -

Our emphasis is to teach the Word of God, to exalt Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord, and friend, and to assist our students to mature spiritually by placing God as the center of their lives.

   2.  INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT -

A carefully planned and well balanced academic program strives to meet the needs of young people.

   3.  PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT -

A combination of programs and activities are designed to meet the various motor development skill levels of each age group with physical education classes and after school sport opportunities.

   4.  EMOTIONAL/SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT -

Students are exposed to a wholesome atmosphere where they will be positively influenced in the areas of self esteem, social development and moral values.

   5.  CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT -

Through a combination of literature, culture and languages, students are prepared for diversity in society.

The Christian philosophy of education is based on the authority, authenticity, and reliability of the Bible as the complete and final revelation of God concerning all matters of faith, truth, and practice. We believe that the ultimate responsibility for a child's education has been given to the parents. At school, the teacher assumes that responsibility in order for the school to complement and supplement the training at home. In that way, the Christian school helps parents. "Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. One of the major advantages of a Christian school education is that each student may receive an education from Christian teachers and staff. The faculty and staff at Berean Christian Academy have a strong Christian commitment to provide the best education for our students.
